Power Line Cover

Working around power lines can be dangerous. Customers and contractors may be required to cover power lines in order to conduct work safely. See tips for staying safe when you are close to power line here.

To request a line cover service please call (506) 658-5252 or toll-free at 1-877-907-5550.

Once your request has been received and processed, a field technician will conduct a site visit to assess the scope of the job. This visit will determine the scope of the project, associated costs as well as requested/required timeframes.  An administration fee will be charged to cover the installation and removal of up to ten (10) protective blankets or hoses or a combination of both, as determined by Saint John Energy Operations’ staff. Situations requiring more than ten blankets or hoses will be billed at Saint John Energy’s prevailing rates. All line cover installations will require that the Customer pay a deposit—this deposit will be credited to the customer’s account if the customer arranges for the cover to be removed within the rental period established in the Work Authorization Contract.

Following the site visit, a technician will provide a Work Authorization Contract that will need to be signed before work can begin. Once the form is completed, it will be submitted to our operations department to schedule the work.  The customer must contact Saint John Energy to have the line cover removed.
